Carat Gold Crop

Our local farmers’ market was up and running today and a visit for me was a must. Fabulous local carrots, Ayrshire tatties and a bit further afield strawberries all made it home with me.
Spurred on by the success of others, I decided it was time to harvest some of my own non-thinned out carrots and sack grown Arran Pilot potatoes.

Tatties did a little bit better but you know what? I’ve enjoyed the task of growing them, and we had a good laugh as we counted our bounty. Yes, it was possible to count. I’ll leave you to guess how many!
